After birth #2, 15 yrs later I had what I thot were 'cute' mommy worries about whether thebaby should be put into clean clothes after being outside, so her crib wouldn't get dirty. I thot these would just go away, after I got into the role of mommy again. Nope, they got worse. By year 1 I was a basket case and called a public health nurse I saw after my son was 4. I also went to the doctor and psychiatrist who put me on cipralex, a drug I could take because I was still nursing. Later, I changed to clomipramine and I was amazed at how quickly some of my ocd went away. I also left my church and the fears I had about how 'bad' coffee, cigarettes etc. were went away too. ( I was afraid that if I touched a coffee stain then put my finger into my mouth , that that would be drinking coffee and i'd have to confess to the bishop which my rational mind said was stupid because I didn't drink anything but ocd mind was not buying that story and so I worried when I went to places like mcdonalds where the tables might not be perfectly cleaned. Decided my religion wasn't true, and bam! those ocd thots went away. Not so easy with other ones tho.

Are you taking anything for the ocd? Do you have a therapist? I found that getting educated about ocd was helpful esp. brain lock and Jeff Bell's and Shannon Shy's autobiographies Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17182813079850508907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910527796780560606.post-28893742579243911342013-10-23T18:11:36.534-04:002013-10-23T18:11:36.534-04:00I am suffering from an extreme OCD after my second...I am suffering from an extreme OCD after my second baby about four years ago scared of touching garbage cans, laundry, anything coming from school, public restrooms, door knobs, money etc......you can email me at Maria111602@yahoo.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910527796780560606.post-79506322984375458212012-11-19T22:02:43.650-05:002012-11-19T22:02:43.650-05:00Hope you keep improving.
